Bittersweet time as we have passed the helm to new owners

After 15 years we have passed the helm to the next Captain and crew. The boat has been everything we could have ever asked for and more. The new owners Craig and Sue Wiker made the parting easy. They are as nice as can be. I felt an immediate kinship with them and believe the boat will be well cared...

Re: If possible, would you buy a new PDQ 34 or 41?

We have been enjoying our 34 for the past twelve years+ and would not hesitate to to purchase a 41 if we were in the market to step up.

Re: Interior Carpets.

Hi Tom,

We have been thinking of adding carpets. Any chance you could post or send some pictures of your installation? My bride would like to see the finished product before we order.

Thanks,

Re: Propane Tank replacements

What is the brand of the fiberglass tanks you bought? If possible do you have the Defender item number or model number of the tanks.

Thanks,

Hi all,

We have been thinking of going to CloZures shades. I am attaching a link. What are your thoughts on these? Anyone using them?

Re: Flybridge wind screen

We took the old ones to a local plastics company and had a pair cut. Total cost was $300. They included polishing the edges in the price. If I remember correctly there was an option of two different kinds of plastic material. The $300 prices was for the more expensive of the two.

Flybridge Yanmar instrument panel B replacement

Hi Folks, Mr Busy has suffered a lightning strike. Had some serious damage to electronics and generator. Fortunately, my insurance company was great. I could not be happier with GEICO/Seaworthy. Their premiums were the lowest around and their service and claims handling is the best. We have been abl...

Re: Need Window lock

I just talked to Bomar @ 603-826-5791. The part is available direct from them @ 12.00 ea, however the minimum order from them direct is is $30.00. They suggested ordering from any of their distributers if only one is needed. The part number is P40-2158.

Hope this helps,

Jimmy

Re: Need Window lock

Good Morning, Not sure if they are still available, but John Sawyer posted this in 2010 identifying the part as follows: With lots of help from the folks at Bomar, I've found the handle. The PDQ main salon sliders (at least for my 2005 MV) were manufactured by the Aluminum2000 Division of Bomar now ...

Re: Genset Exhaust Soot

Good Morning Russ, We have the Northern Lights generator and exhaust like yours and have had a similar stain issue since new. The system has performed flawlessly since August 04 when we took delivery and continues to do so. I often check the engines and genset temps with a laser temperature gauge an...

Re: Hatch Vent

I had the same problem. I beleive it was a Beckson Vent-O-Mate, Model No. - C-6SS - Vent-O-Mate® Ventilator with stainless steel cover. You can look it up an their website.
I also think they sell just the plastic replacement parts.
