Cleaning out my PDQ stuff I have a pair of three bladed props for a MV-34 with 75 hp engines. (Not sure if it matters what size engines) Purchased the four blade props and saved the original ones as spares. They are in very good condition so PM me if you are interested.

Powercat "Mishigas" sold!
To all my PDQ friends on this forum, my 2005 PDQ "Mishigas" has sold. Thanks to the help of Dick Tuschick with Rhumbline Yacht Sales and Cary Lukens with Annapolis Sailyard, we found a terific couple to purchase and enjoy Mishigas for her next journeys. Our time spent on this great boat an...

Vent Cover on Stern Steps Missing
Just noticed one of my white plastic clamshell vent covers on my stern step went "missing" during the Annapolis Powerboat Show. Need a direct replacement, anyone on the board know which product is a replacement fit for this cover? Thanks in advance for the input. Sandy Kramer MV "MISH...

Re: new owner with questions
Bruce, glad you made it home with Elixer. Do a search on this site for Heat Exchanger and you will find more to the tale. My guess is that it has nothing to do with the orientation of the scoops and more to do with the Heat Exchanger. When I pulled mine, it had a coating over the entire surface that...

Re: new owner with questions
Hey Nocall, welcome to the site. I know Elixer as I did the trip down from Canada on our boat and Elixer was on this trip. As far as the port engine running hotter we had the same issue. I pulled the heat exchangers out and had them professionally cleaned by a local radiator shop and have not had a ...

Re: Installing a new sonar/fishfinder
Hi Bill, I had my unit mounted thru the hull under the head. Solid glass to drill thu, no problems to report. I do like the second depth finder on the flybridge. With the ability to have soundings under both hulls, you can often tell which way to steer to deeper water. Good Luck. Sandy "MV MISH...

Re: Tall Sailors and the PDQ 34
Hi Dan, I am 6' 2" and get around fine on the MV34. Most areas should not be a problem even with the addl two inches of height. The beds are a standard queen size to if you can sleep without your feet hanging off one now, you should be good on the PDQ. As far as the engine rooms....well we dont...

Re: davit block and tackle
I also recommend the Garhauer product. I purchased a pair at the Miami Boat Show a few years back and they have worked well. Sturdy, well built and the price was right. My rig is also about 200 lbs and no problem lifting Dink and motor.

Hi John, perhaps try a replacement breaker. I had one go out years ago and the breaker was the problem. Good Luck,

Re: Davit Failure
Hi John, I have the old style davits and never had the failure but I observed several others that had failed. So I went to a Marine Welder and had my original davits "Beefed" up and supported to prevent the failures from occurring. I cant figure out how to post pics on this site but could ...

Re: Prop anti-fouling
I have used Propspeed in the past and "The Juice ain't Worth The Squeeze". For the last several seasons I have used Pettits Barnacle Barrier. On the Chesapeake, it has worked well for me. Very economical compared to Propspeed. I can do both Props and Rudders with one can. I do prep (sand a...

Re: Roll Call: how well did you survive Irene
Hi Sandy, we did just fine. Boat is docked in Selby Bay and the surge was virtually non existent. Stayed at the marina to work lines and rescued a few boats with broken lines, etc.. High wind, rain but we did just fine with no damage whatsoever. We were very lucky. Hope your boat did as well. Regard...
