Just a shot in the dark.
The next time it doesn’t start try priming it with the pump on the fuel filter housing.

Re: Tightening Alternator Belt
All true in my experience.
Generally just use my hand to tension properly. ( 1/2 to 1 inch play )
You may have to loosen/retorque the 14mm lower pivot support bolt as well.

Engine Battery Switch
So after about a 6 hr run yesterday we got to our anchorage and settled in. I turned the port ignition switch back on to check the ending tach time for the log and got nothing from the port engine. No alarm, no lights , nothing. The battery was good but there was no power at the starter. I verified ...

Re: Fuel transfer pump
I recently transferred all the fuel I could from the bow tank to the stern to verify the fuel gauge accuracy. I tried the same thing you did but the pump lost its prime. Even putting more fuel in the forward tank did not help. I removed the forward tank transfer fuel line at the tank valve and fille...

Re: Northern Lights air filter change/check
Thanks for the information. This generator definitely has a filter element as I can feel it in the housing. I’m guessing that the valves haven’t been adjusted in a while.( recommended every 1000hrs ) This gen is just shy of 2000 hrs. Otherwise running good. I’d like to keep it that way. Thanks again...
