Water in the hulls?
We have noticed our stern is lower, below the water line. We are new to the boat. How could we see if there is water in the hulls? Or other thoughts?

Thanks all, we ended up replacing the two rods and chain plates in the salon with stronger plates. Should be ok now. Thanks for your replies!

Short stay chain plates
We've got short stay chain plates in the salon showing stress/cracks. Has anyone else encountered this? We were only on the ocean for a day and the surveyor didn't notice this ( only have had the boat since May).
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Bahamas Internet
Thanks! We plan to start in the Abacos and head down to Georgetown over 3-4 months, and we will be anchoring out a lot. I saw Batelnet, BTC and also Bahamas WiMax. Will look into each.

Bahamas Internet
Any experiences anyone can share about Bahamas ISP's? It looks like there are several choices for boaters.
Thanks,

Yeah we hear that from others. It's not our first trip but we went in October before. We will shoot for early November.

Re: Winds for Gulf crossing
We did it before with a friend in late October. We are not really on a time schedule, we can wait for the right winds. We had just heard different things from different people about the winter months being mostly northerly so we wanted to hear from others ' experience.

Winds for Gulf crossing
We have heard it's tough to cross the Gulf after November, due to the winds being mostly from the north. Is that the case? We're trying to figure out when to go over to the Abacos, but we have family obligations at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanks for your experience/feedback!

Re: Bringing our dog to the Bahamas
Thanks Gary, the web info I've been seeing all says 3-year vaccinations are okay though. Where did you see this about one-year vac's only?

Bringing our dog to the Bahamas
I've read conflicting information about her international health certificate. One source says she has to get it no more than 48 hours before arrival in the Bahamas. Another says we have to provide the certificate to the Bahamas people within 48 hours of arrival. Which is it? It's going to be hard to...

Re: Lazy jack lines?
They're asking for the sail foot and luff dimensions to make the lazy jacks. Anyone know the answer? Our boat is six hours away.
