Re: Dining table conversion to bed

It does assemble into a flat bed with no gaps, but there are seams between the cushions that may or may not bother her. They never bothered me and nobody else that slept there complained. The extra cushions to fill in the table top area were under the starboard dinette seat, as were the short legs t...

Re: Great Loop

Although we don't currently own a PDQ we did complete the Loop on one. We are planning to attend for the afternoon and evening.

Re: Fuel tank leakage

Adding to what James said, Stuart Yacht used a product called De-Oil-It in my boat when I had a similar problem. After cleaning and removing as much fuel as possible by conventional methods they saturated the area with De-Oil-It and it neutralized any remaining fuel and odor that couldn't be accesse...

Preparing the boat for storage

We will be putting our boat on the hard for a few months and I was looking for a checklist of things to do before removing the boat from the water. I thought I saw a PDQ specific list here, but have been unable to find it. Does anyone have that list or have a list of their own? Thanks!

Re: cruise speed

I have the 100 hp Yanmars with three bladed props, I don't know the size but probably whatever came with the boat, and at 3000 RPM my cruise is 15 knots (17-18 mph)

Re: How to update Charts on flybridge C120 Display

If your chartplotters are networked they should read the same card. One of the plotters is designated as the Master, and that's where you install the card, then the other unit will read the chart info from the master unit. On my boat, the unit at the helm inside is the master, and the flybridge unit...

Re: How to screen off deck gap under aft seat

I bought some 3/8" nylon netting and used electrical ties to secure it to the seat back and the seat supports. Even though it goes all the way to the deck there is nothing securing it to the deck below the seat but since it is stretched tight it catches stuff. I mostly put it up to keep my smal...

Re: Double upper helm seat.

I bought one a year or so ago. Be prepared for two things: One - check the seat very carefully for tears in the vinyl, especially at the edges where the vinyl folds around the frame. The shipping carton is not well padded and that sharp edge sits against the thin cardboard carton and any bump tends ...

Re: Need Window lock

I need one of those as well, perhaps if there is a third person needing one we can get together and order 3 from Pompanette. I tried Defender and they cannot find the part number.

My Solution to Short Dinette Legs

If anyone still needs a solution for this I found one that works for me. Measurements on my boat showed that I needed legs to be 3 1/8" diameter by 14 7/8" long. I checked all of the pipe locally available and of course 2" is too small, 3" is too large, 2 1/2" is close but s...

New Owners - Finally!

Just an introduction here. I'm John and my wife is Sharon and we have just settled on the PDQ MV34 formerly known as "Bermuda Shorts". It has taken a while and we've had some trials getting the deal closed, but it's finally done. Last September Sharon and I traveled from our home in Glouce...
