Re: LRC versus Classic Specs
Just a few notes. The LRC has the SS bow protection. It is an upgrade, that also includes bow pulpits and mast pulpits, sound deadening between the staterooms along with the skegs. I do use the "U" bolts on the bow protection strip for anchoring, but the original u bolts are not marked by ...

Underwater Camera
Hello All
I have a Sea Life L201 35mm camera that is looking for a good home. I tried it sans film and the drive and shutter work fine. This does include the waterproof case, rated to 50 meters.
Free if you pay shipping, probably $6-8.

Re: Pulley for manual tilt
Hi Brian
One thing I did was move the hardware to the forward bolt on the cavitation plate. This raises the lower end a couple of inches higher than the factory location and kept them out of the water

Re: Inverter Charger selection
Hi Marc
I have had this ProSine 2000 for 7 years, but I had a leak at the helm and it got wet ;-(
I came back to the boat after leaving it for a year and it didn't work. Minimum $90 service fee for the dealer to check it out and 100 miles of driving.

Re: epirb battery replacement?
Hi John One of my EPIRBs was due a battery change two years ago. I was told by the factory that an authorized dealer had to do it. The one here in Florida wanted $242. I starting hunting online and found the battery for $67. Simple install and it tests fine. Mine was out of warranty so no issues the...

Inverter Charger selection
I need to replace my Prosine 2000 inverter/charger. Xantrex is pushing the new model Freedom 3000. I am researching the Magnum 2000.
Any opinions, thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Dinghy/Solar pane larch
Alan, one thing I didn't have done to my arch was to have large openings in the feet for cable routing.
I spent a lot of time and effort doing this once it was installed. I'd recommend that you the have the largest opening feasible put in each foot.

Re: Inverter Pure Sine or MSW?
Hi Tom I initially had a Freedom 20. It ruined a coffee pot and an electric toothbrush. Tech support said it was the control circuitry in each of them. Probably used at least 30 other tools/appliances and never had a problem. I have gone to the ProSine 2000, for the pure waveform and for the weight ...
