Kobelt/Felstad Control Cables

Does anyone know the lengths of the control cables of the 2002 year 34? In that year the upper station was biased toward the starboard side of the boat almost to the edge of the fly bridge. I think it will be easier to attach replacement cables to the old to rerun the new cables versus remove measur...

Wiring Diagram Questions

I have the wiring diagrams which came with my boat. The date is Apr 12 2002 and for first vessel mv 08. My install deviates from the diagram in that: No inverter/charger combo No echo charger for the entec gen set Charger installed was a xantrex 40 amp 3 bank charger. 120 VAC 3 bank charger leads fr...

Galley Trash Receptacle

Good Day
Has anyone had to replace their Galley Trash Can. My boat is a 2002 build year with the sink inboard. The space for the trash can is not rectangular. My trash can's only markings are build date.

So I am seeking a source for direct or usable replacement.

Thank you

$ blade prop pitch changes

I installed a pair of the 4 bladed props about 8 years ago. They are 16" diameter and 13" pitch. My boat is an early build with the 75 hp engines sets.I have about 1350 hours so the engines should still be close to rated output. They reached rated rpm in the first years after the 4 bladed ...

Re: Another newbie

Welcome to PDQ world With regard to davits I had mine built by a fabricator in Stuart FL out of polished aluminum and they have been great Barbecue-in my view on my past few boats has been simple is better. Used a small tank next to BBQ. Now have gone to using the 1lb tanks coupled with an $8 refill...

Turbocharger Corrosion

I started with what was to be a simple replacement of my exhaust elbows. One had failed and the other was likely well on its way. Removed the elbows and of course the studs were frozen so at that point called in some pros thinking they might be able to remove the studs. Also discovered some unusual ...

Turbocharger Adapter PLate

This is an academic interest query which I predict that only James Powers will know the answer. I am in the process of replacing the yanmar stock exhaust elbows with the cast stainless aftermarket elbows which I was informed of by the forum. I have discovered that my boat and likely most others have...

Re: How to secure dinghy

Hopefully the photo can be opened. My solution is 2 crossed ratchet straps. One end on bench base, my boat has an eye, passing under dinghy over top at mid dinghy to the opposite bench end. The paired straps keep the boat completely tight against the davit and there is no motion. Straps are cheap fr...

Interior Light Dimmer Switch Replacement

I have a 2002 34 with FriLight brand digital dimmer switches.

Has anyone found a replacement for this switch. Are identical switches available or are there similar units that will retrofit with minimal cutting and pasting,

Thank you

Re: Installation of AIS receiver

i recently installed a AIS reciever although in my case I bought a Standard Horizon VHF and had to figure out how to get an older Raymarine E120 to work with just a single nema 0183 input at 38K and still get the other Raymarine transducers to work. Of course one way for your setup to work is to rou...

Re: Transom Shower Trim

I have also replaced my shower trim. Used the new plastic cups with doors from Scandvik. Their number is 12104. Fit in same hole as old cups. By my searching Fisheries Supply has most competitive pricing on Scandvik with free shipping over $99 so I bought a new Scandvik galley faucet as well. After ...

Re: A little problem with deck hatch

Thank you Roger, that's what I went ahead and did. I looked at photos on yacht world and it appears that build years after the 2002 boats had hatch hinged on the other side and uses different hinges. Couldn't find a hinge on line that I was confident would solve the problem so a entry mat seems the ...

A little problem with deck hatch

I have an early build boat that has exposed hinges ( ie the hinge pins face up ) on the battery box lid. The hinge closest to the door is in the way of traffic and is painful as heck to step on. How has this problem been solved? I considered trying to reverse the hinge but that does not seem possibl...

Water intrusion into engine from exhaust

I recently had a stupid attack which resulted in having to replace the exhaust hose between the exhaust elbow so decided to replace the entire run of hose. (ran engine without raw water, water was flowing when i left the dock but the lid on the strainer which i had cleaned was loose and allowed air ...

Re: stern light wiring

I just installed a hard top kit on my boat and had to both drill overhead and on parts that in some cases were not securely afixed. I broke down and purchased some carbide bits. Drilling overhead and stainless became no problem to drill Also try a small bit and start in the center where they likely ...
