Re: Re-Power a 32 with new outboards
Not power tilt, but... we have repowered our PDQ32 with Yamaha 9.9s that are specially built by Simyamaha, a place in Wisconsin. https://www.simyamaha.com/outboards-1/t9-9xerb-exclusive-sim-yamaha-model/ They take a long shaft tiller model and remove the tiller and add a remote throttle connection. ...

Re: PDQ 32 Graphics for sail and hull
Here's the PDQ32 logo in PDF form. You can use Acrobat Reader to print it in "poster" mode across 9 pages of 8.5x11" paper, cut it out, and trace on fabric. Good luck!

Sure... here's some graphics that were vectorized from images. SVG is a format that can be edited with the free app Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator. Most web browsers can view it.

Re: What Dinghy
I think the trick is finding/creating lift points very low in the dinghy--ours are just a few inches above the dinghy floor. We have the following system someone else created on our 10ish foot Zodiac: There are two eye bolts that go through the transom close to the floor. In the front, a 6" loo...

Re: Charging from Portable Generator
Mike & Rebecca on Zerotocruising.com had a generator on their PDQ32, and discussed on their blog how to wire it... i seem to remember that they had to make a custom cable, maybe? Where are you keeping the boat? Newburyport? We have thought about that because it would be an hour closer to our NH ...

Re: Raising motors, are I dumb.
see attached picture. flip the lever up, i think... it will be hard to reach! you will basically be hugging the engine to reach it. then you may need to pull the engine out of the water MORE before it will go down.
Hope this helps!

Re: Raising motors, are I dumb.
Do you have two rope clutch thingies inside your cockpit as shown in the attached picture? Or maybe you have just cleats above the engine wells?

Re: New Owner - Bulb Part #'s
Matt & Diana: Congrats on your purchase, and welcome to the party that is PDQ ownership! We met Tim and "2 Katies" at Cuttyhunk once. Hope the boat enables some fun adventures. Unfortunately I can't answer your questions due to lack of experience with both light & engine replacemen...

Re: Height dimensions of the hardtop
Phenix: Thanks for the photo rotation! What you are seeing on the underside of the hardtop is a bunch of washers and bolts that go up into some starboard (or something similar--i'm no expert) that runs along the fore and aft edges of my original (dead) 3 solar panels. It's nice when I forget to tigh...

Re: Unhappy Rudders
Thanks for the advice, Thinwater. The freezing hypothesis makes a lot of sense. I'll scrape & sand this weekend to see what I can see.

Unhappy Rudders
First issue: I noticed that the leading edge of both rudders has cracked bottom paint & the crack seems to be rusty. I assume that the leading edge is stainless steel that is rusting and expanding under the bottom paint. If I sand off the paint should I encase the rudder in something (epoxy?) be...

Re: Height dimensions of the hardtop
I am not sure this is what you are asking for, but the stainless hardtop support in this (unfortunately sideways) pic is 40" long. IMG_20190416_112502.jpg I will be back on the boat this weekend (13 April 2019), so email any further dimension requests to sailingserenitysquared AT gmail DOT com ...
