Hey John,
We have the 100s. And we like the 4-blades. Quieter below and silent up top. But don't really have much data either … only anecdotal subjective feelings … as we swapped out the 3's to the 4's near immediately.
Best,
Mark

3-Bladed Props from MV 34 Hull 88 For Sale
Don't know if anyone is looking for a pair of spare 3-bladed props but Diana and I are looking to sell ours. They came off our MV34 hull 88. We went to 4-blades and don't really want to carry these around with us anymore. In good condition, definitely some nicks so they are fine as short-term backup...

Re: Dirty Sunsure Curtains
Yeah, wasn't taking it personal. Figured everyone was in the same boat (oooops!). [smile] Thinking of trying this gutter material completely around the eyebrow, draining back to aft deck: http://rvgutters.com/ezemarinegutters.aspx Used this stuff on our 36 PDQ sailing cat to channel the water away f...

Dirty Sunsure Curtains
Hi folks, Diana and I added vinyl Sunsure shade curtains and Sunbrella awnings to m/v Semi-Local last year. They are white (I know …) … but we've had white curtains and awnings before and they've never gotten this filthy, this quickly. Seems like they need a THOROUGH cleaning every few months. See a...

ICW "Trouble Spots" and Recent Depth Surveys
Diana and I traveled northbound last month and made a bunch of depth-annotated tracks of the known ICW trouble spots. We're posting them on our On the Water ChartGuides Facebook page. So far we've done Lockwoods Folly Inlet, Shallotte Inlet, Hell Gate, Little Mud River, and this morning Browns Inlet...

iPad Mounting on Flybridge or Cockpit
Hi folks,
Just wondering what people are doing to mount their iPads, powered, out in the semi-open elements.
Any recommendations for good mounts? Other tips and suggestions?
Thanks, Mark

Selling Three-Blade Props
Hi folks, Diana and I just put four-blade props on our MV. I don't really picture keeping the original three-blade pair for spares so I'm wondering what others have done. We assume many of you kept the original pair but would like to hear suggestions from others who sold them within the PDQ family o...

Re: window gaskets
Just getting around to reading a lot of the Forum posts (preventative measures!). [smile] After getting email advice from James, Diana pulled the gaskets out, cleaned out all of the crud and green mung, and then tamped them back in. We thought we would have to replace 3-4 gaskets but now they are li...

Re: Oil Change Pump Recommendations
Thanks again for the input folks. Just wanted to close out on this. For our oil change pump we ended up with: Marpac Fluid Xtractor 6.5 liter capacity Defender Item No. 300280 Map Price: $59.99 Works great! Stores the oil until you find a recycle stop. Has an included adapter that fits right over th...

Didn't want folks to think we'd dropped the ball or that Steve didn't respond.
We just heard back from Steve and his comments mirror what James said.
Best, Mark
