Re: Tracy Boarding Stairs
Yes, the 5 step can extend further. It is also the largest that will fit in the forward storage lazarette. The ladder has a curved L-shaped brace tube on the underside that stabalizes it against the hull. You have to cut this to fit your specific application. The ladder will extend to match the dist...

Re: Tracy Boarding Stairs
I have found that the position of any outside dock pilings is a critical factor in getting off the PDQ. If there are no outside pilings, or if they are spaced properly, I tie the stern as close as possible to the dock to facilitate boarding. The bow is let out more to allow for this. This allows eas...

Re: Tracy Boarding Stairs
I did install them. I went with the 5-step model, but think the 4-step would work for many people. They are very easy to put on and take off, and when the quick-release brackets are removed, you would barely notice that the stationary bracket is in place. It is pretty flush to the hull and not subje...

Re: Stiff Steering
Have you aligned the rudders? If they are out of alignment, steering gets very stiff above idle speeds.

Re: Damaged my props & 4 bladed props
Hi guys. Sorry to hear of your mishap. You have the 75 HP engines. I'd sell you a 3 blade set but the props are different on the 100 HP engines. Should be a fairly easy repair though at a good prop shop. May take a few day but enjoy the break.

Re: Waste Tank Level Indicator
Ours never goes below 1/4 tank full after we do a pump out. We always just try to err on the conservative site since it is not very accurate.

Re: Achoring in the Bahamas with a MV 34
I have a 35 pound CQR but I understand that the ROCNA is the newest design and is getting a lot of attention from PDQ owners.

IPad Navigation
OK, thinking about getting an IPad as a navigation planning tool. Don't plan to use it during sailing, but seems like a nice way to plan for the next day. Anyone else done this? Which programs have you found best?

Re: Prop anti-fouling
Had prop speed less than a year ago with practically no beneficial results. The yard (Owl Creek) is recommending a spray with interprotect epoxy followed by Pettit Trinidad while it is still wet. Since the props on the powercat are in the water all the time (except for the few on lifts), and with a ...

Sunset Bay is very nice and secure. Plan to stop there around May 2-3 on our prior to heading north on the ICW.

Prop anti-fouling
What do you use (if anything) for prop antifouling? Propspeed? Hard anti-fouling paint? Nothing?
