Re: New Yanmar outboard
Interesting direction but at 175kg (385lb) might be a bit much for a PDQ.

Yes. But only because I have a '98 and a 2013 on either side.

Re: New Yamaha 9.9 vs old noise level
Most definitely. Unfortunately the biggest difference is at idle, can barely tell they’re running. At full throttle they’re still louder than I’d like.

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.
Thanks anyways Sam. Bomar got back with me. Looks like the hatches are model# N1070-10A And the trim ring is model # NT2070-OFF-W assumming it only goes one inch up to meet the hatch. They have a different one for taller set ups. Of course, this is the one measurement I didn't make while on board. O...

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.
I've contacted Bomar waiting on a reply. Hopefully they will be able to help out.
The trim pieces are 16 1/2 x 16 3/8 inside and 19 3/8 x 19 5/16.
Sam if you have any laying around that would be great.

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.
Nobody knows where to get these?
What are the chances of repair? The plastic is dried out and cracking. I'm fairly good with FRP but plastic repair would be a new skill to learn.
Any thoughts?

Re: One tank, two engines, water separators and tee and check valves. Recommended setup?
I mounted a separate filter for each engine on the inboard wall of the engine compartment aft of the engine. Then ball valve before the bulb. Only thing I would change is putting valve after bulb so running engine dry will take less time after closing valve. Never had much need for extra check valve...

In that case a good deal. Even better if you're local and can avoid shipping.

Re: Replacement engines
The add in St Pete appears to be the tiller model. Keep in mind the cost of the remote connection kit.

I did too but there always seemed to be a little standing water in the front corners so I added two more smaller drains.

Phenix, Those are for the cockpit drains. Home made clamshells made out of sheet ABS that I thermo formed over a cut off peice of PVC pipe. Was just an test but looked good enough to try. Hopefully they'll work better than the rubber flappers that were there before.

PDQ32+
Finally got around to copying Drew's ideas. We extended the bottom step, extended the back of both keels, added extra cockpit drainage with under bridge clamshells, and also worked on smoothing out the fairing from a PO's earlier repairs.

Re: Engiine Flush Out Hose Adapter Extension
Nice simple set up. I was considering running a hose across to flush both at the same time.
