Re: decel to idle

Did you figure this out, Tom? We have similar issues. I have been assuming the carb is messed up in some way and needs a thorough cleaning.

That is exactly like the mast on our PDQ. We haven't broken it yet! :)

If you have the bandwidth I'd recommend watching the video in HD. Use the little gear symbol on the youtube window to select 720P HD.

Enjoy,

Re: Stress Cracks and Surveyor in Brunswick, Ga

Our PDQ 32 does not have a Genoa track and I know that Drew's does not either. I don't know if the factory ever did install them. Maybe someone else would know. The crack that you spoke of, and that I wrote about on our blog, occurred in a spot where the fiberglass was visibly thinner than other are...

Re: Ice Box Lid

We also had a situation where our compressor would run non-stop. The cause of ours was actually too much refrigerant in the system, not too little. While more insulation will help in the long run, as mentioned, it may not fix the problem. I would definitely have someone check the refrigerant level b...

Our method is definitely more crude... http://www.zerotocruising.com/open-the-hatches-close-the-hatches/ http://www.zerotocruising.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/buckets1.jpg It works though. We always have the buckets out when at anchor and can typically collect enough water to do dishes, laundry a...

Re: Bahamiun mooring

I have nothing really to add to the original question because we've never found it necessary to Bahamian moor. Just to comment on Drew's post, we have been forced to use a stern anchor on a few occasions to stop us from swinging where the water was too skinny or there were other hazards. We also kee...
