Re: Powercat Charter Available
I lOOked into this and figured that I would simply have anyone chartering the boat stop in Berkeley, get their passport stamped and all would be OK!

Re: Sliding Door Latch
I paid big bucks for several keys for Vita Bella, then discovered that my local "high end" lock/ key store in San Mateo Ca has the blanks for the darn key. I now get them made for a couple of bucks each.

Pressure Water Pump Relocation?
Has anyone relocated the pressure water pump? I have replaced my shur-flo pump many many times and want to switch it out with a Jabsco. Unfortunately, the Jabsco is a bit taller and will not fit in the bilge in the galley. My thought is to put the pump on the inside wall under the refrigerator. This ...

Re: Reading Light Replacements
The LED I replaced did not offer a choice. The bulb offers the same bright light as those I have not replaced, I assume them to be cools.

Re: Reading Light Replacements
I bought gooseneck LEDs at West Marine, $29 per fixture. Unscrew the lens, pull out the old one, stick in the new one and good to go. I took the old one in and they were hanging a plenty on the hook in the bulb area.

Re: Any PDQ gear still around?
Sam That is great, would you pls forward the Logo files to me. I do have a great supplier in San Diego, The Graphix Group, but would also be interested in the contact info of your supplier, as it sounds like they have already done the set up. Thanks for doing what you do to keep the PDQ Dream alive....

Any PDQ gear still around?
One of my friends just joined the PDQ family with the purchase of a 32 here on SF Bay. When I left the factory I was given a couple of hats and a vest with the PDQ logo on them. I am wondering if any of these are still floating around as I would like to buy him some original gear. I am hoping that t...

Re: Anyone installed a boarding ramp?
I was at the boat this weekend and took some pics of the little ramp I made. The dimensions are 18" wide x 4' x 1" thick. K bought this as a pre cut piece of pine, painted it white and then painted non skid on the top. I took 2 small fenders, cut them in half and slit one side to wrap arou...

Re: Anyone installed a boarding ramp?
My wife has had a knee replacement and has difficulty when we are stern tied. I made a "ramp" using a 1" thick, 2' x 5' pre cut piece of shelving material. I took a small boat fender, cut it in quarters and used them for the 4 corners of the ramp after I painted it and applied non ski...

Re: Bilge Alarms & Pumps
Chet- I had one that I used to pump water out of the backyard at the house until I broke down and installed some decent drainage. This baby pumped through a 3" flexible hose, I think that the pumps come in different sizes and varied GPM's, but I think that the extra weight in carrying the pump ...

Re: Bilge Alarms & Pumps
I have often thought of keeping a 120 volt sump pump aboard for the "unthinkable". Start the Genset and let 'er rip. I guess the worst that could happen is that I call in insurance company. All kidding aside, I really think that this would work.

Re: Fuel transfer
Be sure that the valves are open at both the forward tank and in the cabin at the main tank. If the pump does not start moving fuel, I flip the direction switch on the pump back and forth. I can hear the pump "kick in" and start pumping. I think that the prime can be lost and the pump simp...

Re: Tides Marine Seals
It turned out that neither of my shafts were aligned out of the factory and this contributed to the tides marine seals going. In fact my starboard seal was damaged when it was installed at the factory, they used plumbers tape to stop a leak, and James & Jackie changed it out a week after leaving...

Re: shaft support question
After 4 tides marine reds on my port side and one on my starboard, I switched to PSS seals and (knock on wood) have not had a problem since. TM sent me the first seal for replacement just one week after leaving the factory. From that point on, I had to pay for them myself. Try the PSS'
