Re: Windlass

I installed a Lewmar V1 (vertical) on MIDORI and I am happy with that. However, the horizontal may be more flexible. I ran the wires to the forward port hold and mounted the electrical on the bulkhead. The wiring for the windlass is to the start battery on the basis that the engines will be running ...

Re: Engine lift in cockpit

Thank you Drew and Dan. Both much better ideas than my monstrosity. Drew to access the flywheel on the new XEHB can I remove the 3 bolts for the manual start unit without springs and such flying? Lynn is pleased that her blog is being read. I am no longer getting automatic notice when a topic is res...

Re: 32 classic

MIDORI is hull 32032. The height from bottom of keel to top of solar panel on Bimini is 145 1/4 inches = 12 feet one and one quarter inches. Photo attached (I hope) P1030718.JPG Rotate o view, this is a real measurement, 2x4 extend from solar panel down to block size that the keel is sitting on. Brian

Solar

MIDORI has original 3 siemens panels mounted on the hard top and a Sunsaver 10 controller. I get about 14 to 15 volts when the boom is not on the panels, producing a modest 14.? to the batteries from the Sunsaver controller. This is full Florida sun this morning. Are these reading reasonable? I susp...

Re: New engines - source? and market for the old ones?

I used Andy Jr in December, I would recommend Andy for great service. If there was access to 2 stroke a 15 may fit.Brian MIDORI 32032

Re: New Yamaha 9.9s installed

From a previous request, here are 2 photos of the bracket I made to hold the engine in a fixed position. There are no modifications required to the engine, just bolt on.

Pulley for manual tilt

Does anyone have a photo to show the location for mounting the pulley on the cavitation plate for manually lifting the engine?

Re: Engines for sale

I am replacing my GPXR (power tilt) motors with XEHB manual tilt motors and taking advantage of Yamaha's 6 year extended warranty. The power tilt model has an engine mount that extends below the nacelle, which in any rough water will drag in the water. I have posted this fact on this site before. I ...

Re: PDQ 32 Weight

The last time I was hauled. April 2012 MIDORI was just over 10,000 lb using the travel lift scale. Fully loaded at the end of the our cruising season . The waterline is original and the water line was at the water line.
I can make a note when we are launched later this month.
