Re: How to secure dinghy

John,

I took another picture. I think I know what you are seeing. It is the engine hoist which was added by the last owner. Right now it is just connected to the davit to keep it from swinging around.

Re: How to secure dinghy

John,

Here are some extra pictures of mine. It looks identical to Mac's to me. When we bought the boat I am almost positive Beth at Rhumb line told me it had the new davit system. See what you think when you get to your boat.

Re: How to secure dinghy

Great discussion all.

Does anyone know when PDQ went from old style to the new style davits? We have a 2006, hull #81 and I am not sure what we have.

Re: How to secure dinghy

All, I have attached pictures of the way ours is rigged. It is a 9'1" Caribe with a 9.9hp 2 stroke. We have only had our PDQ about six months and have not been in really rough water so this is a good learning and idea subject for me. We slightly deflate the tubes and prop the rear tube on davit...

Re: Flybridge Tachometer

Richard, I am not sure how the tachs are wired but I was having a intermittent problem with one of the flybridge tacos also. As you mentioned the cables are not long enough to plug into the opposite tacos. What I did was removed the tacos and swapped them. It was incredibly easy on our boat, about 1...

Re: question on props

I am also questioning if I am over propped. We purchased Catbo (formerly Tar City Star) in February 2016. It is a 2006 and has 75 hp engines with 3 blade props. I have no idea if they are original or not. At the time of the survey the boat cruised 14 knots at 3200 rpm. Max RPM was 3638 on the port e...

Re: E80 Radar Control

Terry, Thank you for the information. Having read the operation manual I did not get that you use the power button to bring up the radar softkeys. With you information I was able to bring up the radar soft keys. I did turn the scanner on but the Transmit Standby buttons were not illuminated. Pushing...

E80 Radar Control

Hello fellow PDQ owners, My wife and I purchased a 2006 34' powercat formerly named Tar City Star, now named Catbo. We brought her home in February from Stuart, Fl to our home in Palm Coast, Fl. We have taken some short trips since then and love the boat. We have begun the process learning about the...
