Hi Rich, I assume the corrosion of which you speak is on the lower unit. As I remember, Distant Music had a similar problem which turned out to be stray currents thru the SSB grounding. I believe he put a switch somewhere to break the circuit. That solved the problem. His lower unit corroded all the...

Hi Dennis, Triton Sails in Mississauga, Ontario made both the sails and the nets for our boat Allezcat(Hull#10). About 4 years ago they made a new set of nets for Allezcat and SomeDaySoon(Hull#11). They did a wonderful job, the nets fit perfectly, and they were very reasonably priced. The contact I ...

Hi Guys, Allezcat (36010)has been through numerous times. As mentioned, the controlling bridge is the rusty old Port Mayaca railroad bridge. It is normally no problem, but one year the lake was high and we waited a week until they lowered the level. Normal clearance is 49ft. Standard mast height on ...

Portable Generators
If you are looking for a portable generator, check out the Kipor KGE2000Ti at powercomplete.com or amazon.com. It is VERY similar to the Honda EU2000i at about $699. versus $999.

Hi Wakeup, I have a Sprint 1000GD which is a vertical windlass with a drum. When this unit works, it is great, but it is a maintenance intensive unit since it lives in an awful environment up on the foredeck. I find that if I service it every couple years, it is reliable. I really like the drum feat...

Hi Marc, Do you have a spare CDI you can try? These things (CDI's) are notorious for causing symptoms just as you describe. You could also just remove either sparkplug, connect the hi tension lead, ground the plug body, then spin the engine and look for a blue spark. The lo-flow, warm exhaust water,...
