For us, it was very much the same as for Jas above. I'm not aware of a single other 34-foot cruiser capable of cruising 15 knots while burning under 5 gal/hour. Also the 2'-4" draft is the shallowest of the lot, and the PDQ offers two separate queen bed cabins. What's not to like? Just back fr...

Pitching in heavier seas

Hydrofoils can be placed between the hulls on a powercat so as not to increase draft which makes their use as performance enhancers potentially very appealing, although I doubt that most cruisers would consider the small gain worth the extra cost. There was an interesting article in Power & Mot...

We're just back from a Sunsail M/V 34 charter in Florida. (We loved our 4 1/2 days aboard). Our Sunsail boat, with its keel shoe, cruised at about 14 kts at 3250 rpm.
