Re: Propane Cooktop Issue Revisited
Yes, I, too, was surprised at first to see that you had to close the 2 switches for LP Gas and Stove on the electrical panel, and then close the solenoid switch at the stove for it to light. Once you know ...

Re: PDQ Owners Rally?
Congrats! We got the email as current owners but cannot attend this year. I discarded the info - sorry. I am surprised you did not get one, but maybe you did not buy the boat through Rhumbline Yacht Sales.
Email Beth at: beth@rhumblineyachtsales.com and introduce yourself and ask for an invitation.

Re: Fresh Water Pump Problems
Glad you solved the problem, Alan. Adding the 10 inch sediment filter may still be a good idea, but once those granules clogged up the filter at the filter's input water tubing connection. Changing the filter did nothing because the granules were on outside of the filter. I raised the water pickup t...

Re: Fresh Water Pump Problems
We have always had cheaper (Jabsco) fresh water pumps. Several times they have stayed running and it was always from running the main tank dry or the sediment filter had become so clogged that water was not flowing fast enough through it. The fact that you seem to have good water pressure when you o...

Sure looks like a quality job. You can refer to it as your helicopter pad.

Welcome to the forum, Chuck. Our boat is with us in Florida, out cruising right now, so we cannot help you. Hopefully there is someone close to MD that will.

Re: do it yourself boat yard
Vinnie, They hauled and splashed our PDQ in 2017. They had previously hauled and stored another PDQ 34 so they knew they could do it. I will say that the beams holding the straps come very close to the boat and it takes a few hands to carefully guide them so as not to come in contact and possibly ma...

Re: do it yourself boat yard
There is one in Punta Gorda named Riviera marina. It was so close by boat and car that I gave it a shot. It was the worst boat mistake of my life. Do not go there! The next one I found was Glades Boat Storage along the Okeechobee waterway - 11 hours and 2 locks away from our house by boat and almost...

You can check out my topic on adding a drum winch to handle the heavy (engine) side easier. I have not looked into a powered hoist, but good luck.

Re: stuffing box lock nut
This is one of those dilemmas you come across all too often. Our rudder packing glands have never weeped a drop in 5 years that we could see, so no need to adjust. On the other hand, I would not be surprised that by never moving those components, they are slowly "welding" themselves togeth...

Hi, all,
Just wanted to say that sometimes my email notifications of new responses gets put in spam at the ISP level and I don't see them unless I really dig beyond my normal routine. Glad it all worked out.

Kip,
Rather than change the topic of this thread, why don't you start a new topic with your question?
I am not sure I am the best to answer since I have never had to bleed anything in the fuel system.
