Re: NEED TO RUN NEW AC PIPING TO CABINS :-(
J- It was salt water and we are really confused where it wold be coming from. I am not sure the amount, but enough to attack the copper. The insulation was not run on all of the line, and the attack was at a joint that was exposed. The repair folks ran a rag on lines back and forth to dry out the ch...

We do believe that it was due to standing water in the chase. Any suggestions?

Re: NEED TO RUN NEW AC PIPING TO CABINS :-(
Well, here are the painful findings. There is a crack in the copper AC high pressure line. The lines have been replaced as well as the condenser for the cabins. The lines will be charged tomorrow and hopefully we will be back in business. There was some moisture in the chase, have no idea how it got...

Re: Charter Possibities
My understanding is that foreign made boats can be used for bareboat chartering, but not for skippered charters.

JAMES-
Thanks so much for your reply. We are planning to run NEW lines aft but we are a bit concerned that there is something in the channel that caused the leak. I will post to the Forum once I get a handle on the cause of the leak.
Once again Thanks and say Hi to Jackie

Re: NEED TO RUN NEW AC PIPING TO CABINS :-(
ROGER Both of the condensers on our boat are forward of the salon table, under the seat. Copper lines, I think I was told 1/4 & 3/8" respectfully, run from the units to the "air handlers" in a space between the two cabins. Apparently moving the unit for the cabins forward was done...

NEED TO RUN NEW AC PIPING TO CABINS :-(
Vita Bella has sprung a leak in the copper feed lines for the cabin AC air handlers. I am hoping that there channel that carries the copper lines is a straight shot from the AC units that are in front of the Salon Table to the rear air handlers. In the event that there is a bulkhead, we will need to...

Re: Windshield Wiper Blade Assembly
WELL..After I posted the question, I was directed to a Napa Auto Parts Store and they in fact had the part. It is Napa Exact Fit wiper blade part # 60-018-1. I bought 3 of them and they charged me $9.00 a piece + tax. Thanks to Tom Green and Henry Clews who both responded. Let's keep up the GREAT Co...

Windshield Wiper Blade Assembly
I need to replace the windshield wiper assembly on Hull 114. I tried my local West Marine, and the auto parts store with no luck. Anyone know the part # and who made the originals? I would hate to need to do a major retrofit. Any help will be appreciated. I need the rubber blade and the piece that h...

Re: Pumping the Holding tank overboard
Thanks for the input. I have the Jabsco toilet and there seems to be a macerator in the toilet, there is also a macerator in the forward compartment near the Y. I do have a odor filter and I assume that the factory simply installed the macerator and did not hook it up. I have a set of wires dangelin...

Pumping the Holding tank overboard
When I ordered my boat, I did not think that I would ever need to pump the holding tank overboard, living on San Francisco Bay, and did not set the boat up for same. I am now thinking that it might come in very handy to have the option. I see a macerator close to the Y valve, and while I have a 12 v...

Re: Changed Shaft Seals, AGAIN
Thanks for the info. My decision to move to PSS was based on 3 failures in one year. Mine is the last 34 out of the Whitby Factory, and we were using the red seals. While TM supplied the first seal, I had to pay for #2 and the Yard Bill. When the starboard shaft began leaking, not dripping but a maj...

Changed Shaft Seals, AGAIN
I just had the boat in the Yard to get rid of the Tide Marine shaft seals. I have replaced the Port seal twice and the starboard seal started leaking last week. I have moved to PSS seals. I am hopeful that this change will be the end of the leaks. I will keep the Forum posted as to the change. I kno...

Re: Satellite TV?
I have the HDTV that was standard equipment on the boat, with the powered antenna, however even in the TV prolific Bay Area, we are unable to receive several of the network stations. Once into the Sacramento Delta the choices are even fewer. We have even had trouble in San Rafael which is just North...

Re: Satellite TV?
Thanks for the West Coast Welcome and Sharon thanks for the info, it has been almost a year since we were at Nettles. I intend to speak with the local dealer and see what we can do. Several friends have the KVH system and are pleased. while we have many TV stations here in the Bay Area, the Digital ...
