Generator raw water pump
I noticed that when I ran the generator I was not getting any water in the intake strainer. I then took a look at the impeller and it looked fine. I started to replace the impeller and noticed that the shaft turned freely when the impeller was removed. I am assuming their is something wrong with the...

Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator
Installation of the Isotherm CR200. This was done by myself and with my wife helping me. All I will say is that we are both on Medicare. • Remove the old fridge. Disconnect the power and remove the doors and shelving. • Build a lift and install it over the cook top. Picture attached. • Slide the old...

Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator
When I went to install my Isotherm CR200. I did not want to cut the opening as much as required. Instead I decided to add 3/4” x 1.5” wood strips to the side and top so the fridge will protrudes from the wall 1.5”. The vents on the side would be partially blocked by the fridge and the wall. May need...

Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator
I just bought an Isotherm CR200. Have it in the back of my truck. Before I put it in the boat I decided to run it and make sure it works. I have recording thermometers one for the freezer and another for the refrigerator. They are Wi-Fi connected to my phone. I put the thermostat at 4 and the refrig...

Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator
Mac, Thanks for the information. Not wanting to go though all the cutting and fitting you did, I call a dealer for Nova Kool and found out they have a delivery backlog of 30 plus weeks. It seem the factory was closed for 8 months. Meanwhile, I rechecked for a Freon leak and could not find one. After...

Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator
Mac,
Now that you had the C200 fridge for a while, how is it preforming compared to the Nova Cool? My fridge just developed a Freon leak. Because of the leak location it may be easier to get a new fridge.

Re: Generator raw water pump losing its prime
I have not had a problem with my generator water pump, but after reading the post I made a device to fit inside of the raw water strainer that would retain water.

Fuel transfer pump
Recently I decided to drain fuel from my forward tank to the aft tank. The transfer went fast. When I reversed the transfer from the aft tank to the forward tank the transfer was very very slow. I could here fuel entering the tank but the fuel gauges did not appear to move after 15 minutes of runnin...

Fuel Tank Inspection Ports
After reading the posts on fuel polishing and several of the front tanks developing leaks I decided to order this past Tuesday several 6” clean out access plates with 8” covers. Today they just arrived and I have to give a two thumbs up to Boyd Welding (fueltankparts.com). The plates were nicely don...

Just looked on HDI website and they have SS ones for $224.00. Click Yanmar on their home page and then go to the bottom of the 3rd page.

Re: Yanmar 75hp and 100hp exhaust elbow
I looked at the elbow on the starboard engine and it a dull silver color with no rust. I assume it is cast stainless steel I doubt it would be cast aluminum because of the high temperature. Since I bought the boat with 2200 hours on the engines I assume it must be a replacement. Does anyone know wha...

Re: Fuel Polishing
Prior to getting the PDQ I had a sailboat with a 40 gallon aluminum fuel tank. I added a six inch diameter inspection port and discovered that there was pitting at the lowest point in the tank where some water had accumulated. Luckily I caught it in time and was able to repair the tank before a leak...

Re: Motor mount removal /replacement cont.
Did you replace them with new ones or did you just clean them up? The only really draw back with the PDQ 34 is the engine access on the sides. Luckily I have not face that issue. Thanks for the detail account.
