According to ZF there is a reference plate on the transmission (page 2): https://www.zf.com/global/media/en_zf/l ... -ML_04.pdf

Re: Question about tabbing under bulkhead between berths

Check inside of the fiberglass crossbeam where the trampoline attaches. There should be access ports in each of the forward lockers. There have been leaks through the attachment rail of the trampoline.

Re: PDQ 36 in Punta Gorda

Thanks Sam. I believe that we met Warren several years ago in the local multihulls club. The boat was previously "Brigadoon" owned by the Hendersons.

There is a 36 anchored off of Gihlcrest Park in Punta Gorda. Anyone here know the boat/owner?

Re: Engine burns excessive oil at high RPM's

A compression test may be in order. Since Diesels are oil burners there may not be any blue smoke. In addition to the leaks Duane mentioned, the other possibilities are worn valve seals and/or piston rings.

Re: Crossover water supply to Tides shaft seals

I would consider locking the shaft with vice grips rather than chance expensive damage. We're only talking about a temporary situation here, in limp home mode.

Re: Crossover water supply to Tides shaft seals

Put the non running engine in gear to keep the shaft from turning.

Re: Cooktop replacement?

Have you consider going electric and using an induction unit. You will need steel cookware if you do, but I have found ours to be extremely easy to use.
