Battery charger

I have 6 t-145 6v batteries for the house, a 10 amp continues draw [inverter/ice maker TV, refrig, lights, etc] and a 40 amp charger. What do folks do besides run the generator 6-7 hrs. a day. I want to stay with a stand alone inverter, so I guess I need a 100 amp+ charger. I know a lot of changes in ...

Re: Synthetic Oil

Chet, I have been using syn. oil, and trans fluid for 3 years. I checked with yanmar, and transmission mfg. Both were in favor of syn oils. I use Amsoil 15-40 heavy duty marine oil, and there regular trans, fluid. It is compatble with regular trans. fluid. I change engine, and generator filters ever...

Re: Fuel transfer

Thanks for the info, my solution to the problem was to take hose off at the tank, pour a little oil into the hose, hold it high, then put it back on. Primed the pump, and everything is back to normal. Pump or gravity OK. Thanks, roger, Teamwork

Re: whale plumbing fitting?

John, the TP valves are all the same, you can get one at Lowe's, or any plumbing store. You may try opening the valve manually, and letting it slam shut. Do this with water pressure on, a couple of times it may move a little piece of trash, and be good to go. Roger C.

Re: Pathmaker Battery Combiner

Possible source for solonoids Blue Sea Systems search Blue Sea solonoids. I think PN 9012 are the same as the ones on the 250 amp combiner. Check specs, and product documents/ dimentional drawings.

House battery switch

The wires to the battery switch for the house batterys were loose, and heated up causing the case to melt, and popped the breaker. I found this because I had no voltage when we were going to anchor. New switch $21.99 @ Defender Marine. Blue Sea Systems PN 9012 Defender PN 204497. They won't ship any...

Can the compass wire be cut, and new compass wire be spliced? Solder and heat shrink. Or, will the old wire pull the new one thru??? Thanks in advance, Roger C. Teamwork
