Re: MV 34 - 4 blade props

Hey Dick, just installed the 4 blades, and thanks to you it's not the same boat. Much quieter and smoother. Thanks for doing all of the leg work for all that purchased the 4 blade props.

Re: Engine alternators not charging house batteries

I just installed a new 250 amp combiner, and one of the fixes if it didn't work the first time was to remove the neg. wire for a few minutes, then reconnect. [re-boot?] The neg. wire is the far starboard small wire above all the big wires. It sayes negative, and is black.

Re: New Hot Water Heater

Hey John, What I ment for my Question to be is how do the water lines come apart, is there some way to separate the pipe from the fittings? Attwood makes the same size, W/ stainless tank.
I hope y'all are having a good Memorial weekend. Roger

New Hot Water Heater

Does anybody know if the fittings to the domestic water can be taken apart?? The heater was installed flush on the fiberglass, and when the rudder shaft leaked, salt water ate holes in the case, and the liner. I will set the new heater on something to keep that from happening again.

Re: bleeding the steering?

Lower bottle, and let the fluid run back, move wheel a little eather way and the fluid will be sucked into pump. Remove fitting and install plug. You may spill a little, but not much. Roger C.

Re: bleeding the steering?

P.S. Dont forget to align your rudders. I let mine go for a couple of weeks, they got way out of adjustment. Hard to steer at 2000 rpm's.

Re: bleeding the steering?

John, I bled my system at the lower helm. I used the fitting and pipe that came with the boat. Suspend the fluid upsidedown, poke a hole in the bottle, and turn your steerind lock to lock until you feel or see the cylinders fully extend both ways. It may take a lot of turns, but beats being in ths b...
