Hi Folks, To date, I've had the longest service from Yamaha cables. I don't know who makes them,or the cost compared to others, but mine have been in for 4+ years, and are still good.

I gave up and rigged a simple strap arrangement that's easy to use. Both of my engines have been damaged over the years because of the hold down not working properly.

Hi Folks,
Just curious, how does the weight of all that chain forward, effect the performance? Especially the pitching motion. Has anyone ever tried a sentinal, or any kind of weight, on the anchor rode to get the same effect as chain?

I fooled around with the linkage adjustment turnbukle screw, but I think what really did it was spraying WD-40 on the carburator linkage arm and working it back and forth. Hi Ed, Get a copy of Drag Device Data Base, by Victor Shane. Besides being a great read, it has over 100 first-hand accounts of people that actually had to use these devices in bad conditions. There are over 20 reports on catamarans alone.

Hi Chet, The way I understand it is that the engine does not have to be running, when using the "WASH" port with a hose.
I haven't tried this method , because I can't get the *%#@ screw out.

I by-passed my bad neutral switch, just to get my engine started, and never put in a new one. I got the replacement switch from my local Yamaha dealer.
