Here's the p/n of the zinc that DOESN'T WORK with my Volvo props: 196420-02652
This will BIND! In a pinch, it could be ground down to work.
We're thinking of Maine this year - late July and most of August. We'll give a holler if we're in Penobscot Bay.

POA Website?
PDQ used to maintain a web page for POA. Is this still availible somewhere? If not, is there any demand? In a similar vein, the old company PDQ 36 pages are gone, and it would be nice to have these up for the historical interest. In particular, has anyone saved a copy of the manual in pdf format?

We've had a Lavac on Loki (36072) since it was new. Its had about 6 weeks use each summer plus the full year we travelled. Although it was set up as a manual, a few months into the long trip I installed the electric pump, since I didn't think our elbows could take the stress! If you setup the manual...

Winter Cover
Has anyone made or purchased a "canvas" winter cover for a PDQ? The fee for shrinkwrap in my yard is about $600, and that comes close to the cost of materials for a vinyl laminated dacron cover. I have a Sailrite clone walking foot machine and have done a number of small projects, so I'm n...

I run them a bit under 3000. The redline is 3600, and the wisdom I've heard is to run at about 80-85% of redline. With no load (in neutral), you should be able to rev right up to 3600, but in gear wide open they top out at 3200 with a clean bottom, somewhat less at the end of the season. I added pro...

Hi Brendan, Allezcat's main halyard also gets very difficult to raise the last foot of travel. I have traced it to the thick eyesplice in the double braid for the shackle which jams in the small sheave groove at the masthead. Not sure how to solve this other than have the sail cut shorter, which I ...

Some great responses. It strikes me that this boat was made to have outboards, then diesels were put in some. I have been told that with a normal load that 36 lrc can actually have a step awash and have back chainplates immersed in water. A step I could handle, but the chainplate is bad. Does this ...

Keep an eye on the official web site to see if closing are happening. You might look at past years to see how frequent they are. When we came through (1999) it was a drought and there was talk of reducing the number of lockings (it never happened). The year before there were closings due to flooding...
