Why bridle? Admittedly, I have a 36, but have not observed marked sailing at anchor off one bow. Quartering the waves is a more comfortable ride when underway, why not while at anchor?

Re: SD20 saildrive diaphragms replacement
Juan, I recently had to replace the hull fairings for my saildrives and had read the "two year replacement" comment. Atlantic Yacht Basin in Great Bridge, Virginia did the work. They are a Yanmar dealer and said that they had seen the diaphragms last over fifteen years and to wait for evid...

SALON TABLE
JIM,
We stow the infill cushions on the shelf outboard in the forward berth cabins. Hatch screens stow behind them when not in use. Can't argue against the inflatable queen as the entire area with infill is huge! Try to look at the options.

SALON TABLE
JIM, Your table I believe was an option and the "conversion" you refer to was the standard table. It shouldn't be too difficult to locate a 36 with the standard table to get measurements from. There might be an owner of a standard that would love to trade you for your table. Regards, Alex ...

extra aft cleat
Chris, If I bother to mount a cleat, it must be capable of carrying a heavy load. The inner "corner" of the deck aft is below the ss davit and its supports. It is not a travelled area asking for toes. At present there are three lines secured on the single aft cleat. I want more cleats. The...

extra mooring cleats aft
To secure dinghy in davits and for other various needs I would like to install cleats across from the standard cleats aft. The proposed location is over a cored area. What would be the best way to mount the cleats here?

RAY,
I'm having problems with sending email. I would like to buy the sailcover. I can receive email, ksafk@aol.com. Half Moon is in the northwest Albemarle Sound, about 60 miles from Norfolk.
Thanks,

hull rubber seals
I am about to replace the fairing seals on my saildrives but wonder if after eight years the two gaskets that keep water out of the hull should be replaced also. The manual says to replace every two years!

Have you calculated the weight of generator and batteries...any weight savings? And, can you run a straight diesel-electric mode.

Dinghy davits
Since you have such beautiful ss motor brackets you might take a look at dinghy-tow.com. I had considered this product for a monohull. Capella has davits that work for me, but you might take a look.

Bob, I had the same problem at last servicing of my saildrives. Had to send the ? Yanmars back and order Volvos. Unfortunately, the yard where the work was done is now another condoville and I can't contact the mechanics who did the work. Are you saying that you now use the Yanmar zincs but have to ...
