foot rest for aft bench seat.
Although I rarely use it since I am usually at the helm, I find the height of the bench seat too high to be comfortable. Has anyone added a foot rest to the seat, maybe one that folds up to be out of the way. Suggestions?

MacENC
Bought the program and CD. I can't find coverage for the ICW from the Albemarle Sound to Norfolk, no Pasquotank River, no Coinjock to Great Bridge. Surely they must be there, but I can't find them. Any suggestions?

GPS/APPLE
Does anyone use a MAC based charting system? I've recently converted to Apple and plan to get a bluetooth GPS to use in my cars. I would like to be able to use it as backup aboard also. Anyone using MACEnc?

MAIN SHEET WINCH
Half Moon 36073 has the winch on the cockpit bulkhead, at head height, a most inconvenient location. Are there disadvantages to having it on the cabintop? Has anyone moved their winch?

ST 4000
My old 4000 kept rejecting itself, the two wheel halves parting company. I bought the new 4000+ drive unit only and plugged it into the old instrument and it has worked without problem for two years now. Cheaper than buying a whole new AP.

chain
An outfit I have used with satisfaction is NEW RIVER NETS (newrivernets.com). They are listing SS 5/16 chain for $2.55/ft. I don't know the specs, but you can call for info. 910 327-1231. Their rope specials are very attractive. Apparently, they cater to the commercial fishing trade, a group not fon...
