Re: PROPS FOR SALE
Vinnie, Could you please share some details about your re-powering project? Why did you do it? How was it done (cut hole in deck over each engine?)? Cost? Did you stick with 4-blade props? Benefits?

Re: Propeller size for the 100 hp engines.
Have you ever asked a Yanmar tech/dealer if they use this technique? I asked ours and they said the NEVER do this. They prefer to dismantle it, clean it properly and replace whatever gaskets need replacing. They say it is a fairly tricky, complex task and advise again the quick "wash" conc...

Re: Propeller size for the 100 hp engines.
Duane, have you (or anyone else) ever done this turbocharger “washing” process on your boat? If so, did it improve performance?

Re: Fuel Polishing
Eddie, We had our fuel tanks polished in 2019. Access hatches were added to both tanks -- one to the forward AUX tank and two to the aft MAIN tank. I have a pic (attached) of the forward AUX tank hatch, but am having difficulty uploading a pic of the main tank hatches. I'll verify there are two hatc...

Re: Smoke / Carbon Monoxide Detector Mounting Locations?
My understanding that the best location for this kind of detector is down low near the floor because CO is heavier than air. We mount ours down low behind the two berth doors.

Re: bunk lights(?)
I changed our original gooseneck wall lamps out for nice little modern "touch" (3 levels) LED lights a few years ago. What a difference. The original lights had 2 screws. The wires obviously come through the wall from inside the battery compartment.

Re: Replace porthole?
Well, I learned some things over several phone calls to Pompanette about this: 1) in every phone call the person commented about how overwhelmed they are; 2) they said they had ONE "lens" for the porthole left; 3) that was not true... their inventory system was not accurate -- they do not ...

No, my outer flange is stainless. Only the lens is plastic. Bomar will get my call today.
Thanks for helping clarify the source.

Re: Replace porthole?
Hi John, thanks for the suggestion. I didn't see anything on Beckson's site, but I think I found the right source: Bomar SS Flagship Portlights... Not yet sure if this is the right size, but mine looks exactly like this: BOM-SSFlagshipPorts-01
