hatch hinge maintenance
We have the Lewmar hatches.
Trying to replace bushings and rubbers on the hinges.
BUT the dang pins won't go back in. (keep angling upward)
the "directions" say replace with window "open",
but doesn't say how far open.
What is the secret?..

We finally pushed enough buttons to get it working, but could someone give info on settings for optimum performance?

"stupid" newbie questions--threads
I could really use a place to ask kind of random "newbie" questions that most people would find mundane, but that are really needed the first few weeks on a new boat.
could we get a new thread?

Re: Source for outboard anodes?
yep. Did that. Found them for $22.50 plus shipping....that seems ridiculously high.
I have to believe that someone knows where I can get them for less.

Dropping the Mast.....What's involved?
Hi all, We just bought a '90 34ft (hull #8) and are coming from a Catalina (small monohull) so we have a lot to learn. We are replacing the rigging and it was suggested that it may be a good time to drop the mast and check interior items, lights, etc. We have no idea what's involved with dropping th...

Source for outboard anodes?
Looking for a less costly source for the anodes for the 9.9 outboards (can only find on Yamaha website).
I know this seems simple, but we don't have access to the (newly purchased) boat, so I have no comparison.
Need to buy now for taking to boat in Grenada.

Cutting in Inspection ports in 1990 34'
We need to empty water out of the forward and rear compartments. We will need to cut in inspection ports to do this. I am having to give instructions to the yard in Grenada to do this. I will not be able to be part of this repair. Is it better to put holes high in the closet on interior bulkhead or ...
