Re: sliding screen weatherstrip
John,Don't know for sure, but what about a heat gun??? I haven't had a problem yet, but I think heat will soften the backing. Roger C.

Re: new owner with questions
Hi Bruce, I put a memory foam topper on both beds, and have had no problems just folding it back with the mattress. Got it at Sams, can't remember the price, but it sure made a differance in the bed. I have used 3M super weatherstrip and gasket adhesive [any auto store ] yellow. it works very well i...

Gear box adjustment
Teamwork had a gearbox problem at 1744 hrs, it turns out the problem was a incorrectly adjusted shifting cable. The valve was not opening fully, so the clutch pack was allowed to slip. My mechanic adjusted both of mine at the gear, and at the lower helm. These was not something that could have just ...

Re: aluminium propane tank?
John, I don't think my tanks are aluminum, but I do have threads inside, and outside. Most if not all valves have that arrangement. The old [15 + yr ] will not be filled in the US, dont know about the Bahamas. My guess is whatever you buy it will work. Roger

inavx works well for planing, easier than Capt Navagator. Iam still learning my way around, but think it will be a great tool. We used it crossing, to back up all my Ray Marine crap that's broken!!!!

Re: Water Heater Check Valve
If you can extend the hot water pipe from the heater with copper about 10" then connect the pex, that will keep the pex from having any problems. That is a plumbing code in NC. Lowes or Home Depot cary them ready made, eather flex or bent. Roger C.

Re: Exhaust Elbow Spacer
Hey Jerry, I had one elbow silver soldered, and that didn't work, as they get hotter than the silver solder. I didn't have a spacer, but was lucky and got the broken bolts out without removing turbo, and intercooler. Put 2 new ones on, they are different, maybe 2nd generation. I did that because I d...

Water into fwd port storage
Does anyone have a fix for water coming into the port storage area/ generator area. I get sea water in heavy seas. I know the generator needs air, but it doesn't need water!!! Twice on this trip to Abaco, Port Royal Sound, and crossing the Gulf Stream, never had this problem before, and have been in...

Re: Replacement LED lights for the Salon
The three bulbs in the salon will have a nice glow when the dimmer is turned all the way down, and brighten when turned up, and if you hold the brighten side, they will get a little brighter. We like the night lite effect, and uses very little electricity.

Re: Shaft vibration
Teamwork has a squeal on the stbd side between 1200rpm, and 1800 rpm. Had a mechanic tell me that it was the cutlass, not the transmisson. Mine are new, and he didn't think it was a big deal, some sing, and some don't. I don't like the noise, so I pull stbd engine to idle and continue thru the no wa...
