Re: Latches for interior portholes
All the contact information from my order is below including part numbers. They are Bomar Portlight windows on our 2006. I replaced all the gaskets with 30' of new gasket material and bought 5 of the latches. I only used 3 but wanted a couple of spares. POMPANETTE,LLC - BOMAR - GRAY HOOD -ALUM 2000 ...

Re: Irma
We are in Palm Coast, Fl and keep our boat behind the house in a canal. We had a relatively unpleasant night. Lots of wind, 10" of rain, about a 4.5' tide surge, lost a few shingles and no power. We are lucky. I hope all of those in other parts of Florida maybe out ok.

Re: Irma
We are on the east side of Florida, not expecting more than Cat 1 conditions and minimal tide surge. Our thoughts to all of those on the west side of the state. We will hope for a miracle for all of you.

Re: PORT ENGINE IDLE TEMPERATURE
Both of my engines get up to about 155 at 1200 RPM while sitting at the dock. They both run at 175 at cruise. As Duane mentioned, the infrared gun is a good place to start and they can be purchased at any auto parts store for about $30. If the engine is actually running that cool I would think about...

Re: Windshield Wiper Blade Assembly
I am not sure about the Napa blades but I just replaced my wipers in March. I gave up at the auto parts places, they were all to loose a fit. West Marine had some that looked like the would fit the arms but they didn't have 18 inch. I ordered some from Amazon and they fit perfect. Hopefully the link...

Re: Power Cat Electronics
Bob,
I am considering replacing all our electronics also. I would be interested in what you decided to go with and also the cost with installation. We have gotten serious about looking into it yet but I think we will do something this winter.

Northern Lights Oil Pan
We recently experienced a problem with our Norther Lights Generator leaking oil when not in use. There were no signs of leakage around the drain plug/hose area for changing the oil. We suspected and this morning Stuart Yacht has confirmed there is a small rust hole in the bottom off the oil pan (see...

Re: Deck washdown thruhull
Mac, The washdown pump draws water in through that small thruhull by the toilet when the washdown pump is on. To the best of my knowledge, all of the boats use fresh water for flushing the toilet. The large thruhull in front of the toilet is used when offshore to pump the waste holding tank overboar...

Re: 2017 Bahamas Cruise
We crossed on May 3 with Tiger from Lake Worth Inlet and met up with AllezCat who came from St. Lucie due to a mechanical issue. Tiger and Catbo are now at Green Turtle at the Leward Yacht Club. We plan to Stay in the Abacos about three weeks and then head back to Florida.

Re: Towing a RIB?
Thank you all for the responses and ideas. I think we will plan on hoisting the dinghy with the davits and skip towing altogether.

Towing a RIB?
We have a 9.5' Caribe with a 9.9 HP two cycle Yamaha. We have never towed it (or any other Dinghy). We will be traveling to the Abacos in May and thought there may be times where it make sense to tow it rather than using the davits. Any thoughts on towing versus using the davits? If we do tow it, an...

Re: Thru Hull Transducer
Richard, When I cabled my second depth finder it was from the floor of the bathroom to the flybridge. It was purely a stand alone backup depth finder. I took the shelf out under the sink and the medicine cabinet out. Go to the cabinet closest to the helm in the stateroom on the starboard side of the...
