Re: St. Michaels, Maryland Anchorage or Dockage on San Domingo C
Stayed here overnight on Fathers Day. Went all the way up the creek to the last two markers within about a mile of the dingy dock. Had 6 ft or better all the way to, and at, the anchorage. Manson Supreme anchor held firm first time we set it. Backed it down hard after letting it settle for a few min...

Re: Fresh water leaks wrecking our sole
I had this problem. Thought it was under the cockpit floor at first as well. Careful inspection under the floor around the fuel tank did not reveal any cracks or penetrations. My fix was to re-caulk the helm station. I found water in the compartment under the helm (mine holds house batteries). If th...

Replacing Hatch Glass
I'm replacing the hatch glass on my side hatches (1993 PDQ 36) and want a sanity check from the rest of you. 'I cracked one of the side hatches forcing it open too hard one day. I removed a latch on the cracked hatch and measured the existing acrylic and found it to be 1/4 inch thick. When I pulled ...

Mongoose, Since You are in MD, check this place http://www.batterywarehouse.net/ I picked up 4 of their store brand Trojan clones last year in Westminster. Sorry I don't have the model number on me right now. They have performed well for one season. Prices are good. Store is very bare bones, not fancy

Re: Refrigerator
Thanks for the info. I used an Engel chest fridg/freezer this past summer and really was impressed with it's cooling ability. I had to set it on the lowest setting to use it as a fridge and keep everything from freezing solid. The swing compressor seemed very efficient. The fan tips are a good idea ...

Stern Step Handrail
Surely I'm not the only one with a dented stern step handrail from an accident with the dock. Now I didn't do it...it came that way from a preious owner. It still is functional but doesn't look good. Anyone ever replaced one? I like to do things myself. What is involved? I can't see how I would get ...

Always good to have options....thanks for the info!!!!Joneses wrote:Just an FYI after-the-fact, since I didn't see anyone had mentioned it: Tidewater Yacht Service Center at Port Covington Marine Center in Baltimore is very familiar with the PDQ 36, accomodates it easily, and does good work if you need it.

Re: Waste tank
The hole on the side of the hull is indeed a vent.
If waste is coming out of it when you pump the head, then the tank is full!
Best to get to a pump out station......
The macerator pump will send waste out the botom thru hull once you set the valves to their corrrect positions.

Re: Chesapeake Marina Haul Out/Store - PDQ 36
I got back in touch with Markleys and spoke to Ms Connie. She confirmed with her son that they can do the haul out on a PDQ 36. That solves my search for a place so thanks everyone for the help. Dan, What sort of blocking did Markleys use on your boat? Jack stands under the bridge deck per the PDQ m...

Re: Chesapeake Marina Haul Out/Store - PDQ 36
Thanks for all the reply's everyone. I've been to Wharton Creek by sail but it is alittle far for me to drive. When I called Markley's, (would be closest for me)They told me they couldn't haul my 36 due to 18.5 beam. Said their max was 18'. Strange. I may need to call again or go by and see them. I ...
