Re: leaving the bahamas

Chris thanks for the info on the chainplate and I really appreciate the photos you sent of the saloon table, I haven't converted that yet but all in good time. I'm currently trying to wrestle a washing machine out of the port side aft cabin. Thats interesting about the transatlantic voyages and am s...

Re: leaving the bahamas

Colin, I've read a lot of your articles in the quarterly rag and know you've done some serious sailing. I can't wait to cruise the Rio dulce and read the Chisme Vindicator regularly, thanks for the post.

Re: leaving the bahamas

I appreciate the post Bob and was curious to know if the baby stay on your new boat goes down into a locker as Ed mentioned ? My PDQ is at Herrington harbor in Maryland and I'm in New Mexico (not easy to check) but if your hull#45 and I'm #49 then yours and mine would be the newer ones that Ed is sp...

Re: leaving the bahamas

Thanks Ed its good to know these boats are capable and have "been there done that". That's a really long passage and it must be seaworthy otherwise you wouldn't have done it twice. Jim

leaving the bahamas

I recently purchased a PDQ catamaran and plan to use it on the Eastern seaboard and Bahamas. In the event that I might get bored and want to leave the Bahamas for say the Grenadines or points South would this be a comfortable cruiser? I've read where a lot of the PDQ catamarans have crossed the Flor...

seat pedestal

Thanks Bob, I thought 24 inches might be a little much. I just didn't want to buy them too short and have difficulty seeing forward.

seat pedestal

Just bought two seats on ebay and plan to replace the old and add one on the port side but need the height of the pedestal. I'm looking at the springfield heavy duty adjustable but am not sure of the heights and my cat is on the other side of the continent. Is 24 inches about right fully extended or...

Catnap for sale

Captain Hank, This is a screaming deal!!!!! I wish I had the money to buy it so I could sell it for what its truly worth. Just purchased hull# 49 and now after seeing your listing am kicking myself. Speaking of listing is it over on its side taking on water? Attention all you hull challenged sailors...

salon table

Thanks for the reply Bob, Alex and yes I think it would be pretty easy to duplicate that table maybe even improve on the design with shallow drawers underneath. I just need the dimensions of the table top in the compact position and extended out. I would guess that the thickness is between 3/4 and 1...

salon table

That's a great idea using the air mattress and thanks for sending the pix. My wife likes the storage and drawers on the table we have now although I would prefer the table like you have. It would allow for extra guests and be a great ottoman. If you happen to see a manufacturer tag on that table, I ...

salon table

Thanks for the post Chris and yes I would be very interested in seeing the table and does this fold down to make a bed for extra guests? Do you carry extra cushions to fill in the table top area once it folds down?

salon table

Thanks for the reply Alex and I didn't realize it was an option, either way I need to be able to use this salon area for guests at night and will look into a telescoping table.

salon table

Hello Everyone, I would like to remove this huge table in the salon the one with the drawers and wine rack and maybe install one that can be used as a dinner/cocktail table. A table that would raise and lower without to much difficulty and possibly even bridge the gap between the settee so that two ...

walker bay dinghy

Dan, Thanks for the info and I really like the design of the Walker and especially the surrounding tube. Does the 10 footer fit in between the hulls with the tube kit on easily? How large of an outboard do you think I could get away with. Thanks Jim
