Thanks Sandy, but I don't have the handle with me here and would like to order one and take it with me to Jacksonville next Month. I do remember that it was chrome with a black grip and about 12" long

hand pump

Hi all, I need to replace the hand pump for waste disposal (near the Y-valve in the aft starboard storage compartment) and wondered if anyone had a part name or number? Thanks, Jim

narrow interior hull steps

Is it just me or do any of you other owners find these steps a real pain to get up and down. I realize they are an integral part of the mold, but thought maybe some of you engineers out there might have modified yours and could pass along some helpful hints.

Its been two years since I sold the Desert Star but everyday after work I hit popular sites on my computer and it takes me right to the PDQ forum, missed it terribly this last week and feel the same as Sandy (acute sensory deprivation) I love it. Hey Mike, I ended up spending the money and ordered the 34 ft. section from Taco Metals. I used 16 ft. of it and gave the rest away, sorry.

I want to add to the earlier post that upon removing the frame sections there was no adhesive or sealant, the two sections came apart freely with no mess or damage to the woodwork. Jim

Chris, I just removed a washing machine from my aft cabin and the door frame comes apart in two L-sections that cover their respective sides. After removing between 14-16 screws the galley side aluminum frame comes off first exposing that wooden edge and then the cabin side pulls away exposing that ...

Thanks for the post Juan and upon arriving at Herrington harbor this weekend thats the first thing I checked, actually Sandy Daugherty examined it for me and it looks like I'm good to go.
