Re: Irma
Same here with Lady of the Lake in Punta Gorda Isles...we did our best to secure her, anchors off bow and stern along with our TideSlides and additional lines tied to trees in case the TideSlides or the pilings they are attached to failed. Honestly, we left her thinking there was a good chance she m...

Re: Hull number
Hey Warren, HIN is Hull Identification Number for legal documentation purposes. Unless you bought our Lady of the Lake while I was away, you cannot be HIN #QPQ00015H191 since that is my hull number :-) You are in fact HIN QPQ00014F191, also known as hull #14. Here is how I was told the HIN breaks do...

Re: PDQ 36 port windows- gasket
So...here is the reply from Bomar... The gasket/ P3000-21 we sent you is for or 5,000/8,000 series line manufactured after the fall of 1994. If your existing ports were made prior to this year the replacement gasket should really be P3000-21-RETRO. The retro gasket is to take the place of the existi...

Re: PDQ 36 port windows- gasket
No luck, way too big, wrong gasket. I emailed Bomar and sent some photos to see if I can get the right gasket. I have attached the same photos here if anyone can identify the port model number. Plastic trim inside, aluminum outside, rain shade is not part of the assembly, added later. Window is 15x5...

Re: Fridge compressor water intake location?
My thoughts... Fridge runs all the time (with some duty cycle of course) so it will need to be left on while off the boat on long trips. Don't bring the water inside the vessel :-) Also, I would be concerned about the demand on the shared intake if the fridge and A/C were both running simultaneously...

Re: Fridge compressor water intake location?
We use the air cooled variety. We are not fond of raw water pumps (expensive and fail too often) nor the concept of bringing sea water into the vessel unless absolutely necessary. That pump will run a lot and if a hose malfunctions it could be disastrous. Although air cooled may not be as efficient,...
