Thanks James, so what I'm hearing is that you can just "T" off of the galley propane bottle and run a line over to the shower for the hot water heater using the same regulator......this seems to be the general consensus.

Hi all, I'm trying to install an Excel water heater and would like to Tee off of the 20 lb. tank in the aft port locker that supplies the range or cook top in the galley. I was told by someone that the regulator going to the cook top was high pressure and that this would not work for the water heate...

Tom, I too enjoy your blog and the service provider is not the only one suffering a meltdown whenever your site is not accessible. Speaking of service providers, I guess we can assume that yours will be getting a "sucks ass" review in the ratings column.

Hey Eric, All is well on the Western front. I ordered the part from Defender and will replace the seal and diaphragm, (thanks Ron). Anyway am curious if you have replaced your fresh water pump for better water pressure in the shower. I'm not sure if the size of the pump (GPM) comes into play here or...

I don't have any problem with the head, its the hand pump or diaphragm pump used to discharge waste overboard that is located in the aft starboard storage locker.
