I second (or third) the XM or Sirius sat radio for the boat. The cost is right and the music and media choices are great. Although not yet "legal" in Canada, I heard it's soon to be approved up there because many folks are already using it anyway.

Thanks All, Yes it is a bit too late for PDQ to do this as the boat is in the water and out of the plant as we speak. I think the easiest thing at this point to do is just apply the numbers in a suitable location and epoxy glass over them as required. I'll do this when I get back home but I will be ...

USCG Documentation Number Requirements?
OK, I received my paperwork and certificate of documentation from the uscg and it requires that the numbers be: "Block type Arabic numerals at least 3" high on some clearly visible interior structural part of the hull. The number must be permanently affixed so that alteration, removal, or ...

Anchoring a Cat...Correctly
I am new to Cat ownership and will be taking delivery of hull#68 in May. I understand that it is often recomended that when anchoring, the use of a "bridal" line running from each sponson should be used to even out the anchor pull and keep the swing under control. Is this the truth and is ...

Good to hear from those that responded to this thread however I heard that this years flotillas will include 12 PDQ's. 8 going south and 4 doing a Montreal sidetrip and then heading south. Where is everyone? I think that many are not aware of this PDQ board as of yet. Hey PDQ...get the word out to t...

Flotilla & PDQU participants sound off...
OK, we can't take the silence any longer and need a PDQ fix. Who's going on the upcoming flotilla and attending PDQU? We are Hull #68 Mishigas and we hail from Laytonsville, Maryland. The Chesapeake Bay is our cruising grounds and we are excited and proud to be participating in this awesome event. M...

Jim, I think no one knows much about the stern hydrofoil to really make any first hand comments. I also read the article in Passagemaker and alway kind of chuckle when I hear negative comments regarding a Catamaran's seakeeeping ability. What the writer should have said is that ANY boat can pound yo...

New Boat Provisions....
Hello, We are having hull #68 built and are beginning our provisioning list for her. As I am going thru this excersize a few questions have come up. With this large beam, What length, quantity and size lines do we need for tying up this boat? What size fenders do you use and where do you store the l...

Hello all, my first post here as we are having hull#68 built and will be bringing her down in May to the Chesapeake. I am glad this subject has been discussed as I need to know how stout the davits are on the 34. Looking at Ribs and would like to be able to keep the outboard on during a cruise but d...
