Re: Thru Hull Transducer

Richard, When I cabled my second depth finder it was from the floor of the bathroom to the flybridge. It was purely a stand alone backup depth finder. I took the shelf out under the sink and the medicine cabinet out. Go to the cabinet closest to the helm in the stateroom on the starboard side of the...

Windshield Wipers

Hi All, My windshield wipers need replacing and I am having trouble finding replacements. I am trying to replace the blades and the piece that holds the blades and connects to the metal wiper arm. I have tried a couple from auto parts stores and they look like they should fit, they slide on but the ...

Re: Thru Hull Transducer

In our 2006, the boat came from the factory with a thru hull transducer. It is located in the forward galley area in the storage area beneath the refrigerator. When it began to have some intermittent issues I put a separate, inexpensive Hawkeye Depth Finder in as a backup. It has a shoot thru the hu...

Re: expansion tank?

I have a 2006 with no expansion tank. We also do not have a check valve on the cold water line feeding the Hot Water Heater. We have not had any problems with the relief valve releasing water. Unless you have had the problem since the boat was new I would look at the most likely cause of the problem...

Re: 2017 Bahamas Cruise

We are interested in going to the Bahamas this year as well. We have never been before so the Abacos sounds great to us. We can't before the last few days of April or early May.

10 Year maintenance issues

Hi All, Our boat is a 2006 34 which we have had for a year. We have a dripless seal with a tiny leak and a hose with an occasional drip. It is clear some, if not most of the hoses are original. We are considering having all hoses and any needed stainless pipes, etc. replaced. We would also do any ot...

Re: Replacing house batteries

We have decided to replace our house batteries so these posts have been helpful. The current batteries are 4 standard wet cell 6 volt, 216 AH golf cart batteries. We don’t spend much time anchored out so new batteries of similar capacity will do for us. We have decided to replace them with Trojan AG...

Re: cruise speed

We have 75's with 16 x 13 props. At 3200 RPM we cruise 13-13.5 knots. One issue for us is max RPM is 3500-3600 RPM's.

Re: How to secure dinghy

John,

Thanks for the pictures. I think I understand how you have it secured. I am going to work with my starboard tube to see if I can get it all the way behind the davit support.
