Re: Propane System and Excel H2O Heater
The Excel will certainly go through your tanks in short order especially if you linger in the shower like some teenage girls, Lol! We added an additional 5 lb. bottle to our supply of 20 after the first year. This usually lasts us 8-9 weeks before we have to refill. We've used the water heater for t...

Re: Propane System and Excel H2O Heater
There is a good discussion regarding On Demand water heaters on the website "Sailboatowners" http://forums.sbo.sailboatowners.com/archive/index.php/t-123621.html. James has a good point regarding emissions but feel that the 2-3 gals. that we use during the shower isn't going to cause any s...

Re: Propane System and Excel H2O Heater
Our propane cylinders are stored in the aft port locker and supply the Excel through a flexible high pressure hose. When we use the heater it is only for for short Navy showers in the separate shower area and always have the hatch open, don't really use the heater in the sink area. Xintex propane mo...

Re: Kayaks
Dan, Thanks for the info, I went to their website to see if they had a model with back support and especially liked the Tetra Angler. I want to be as comfortable as possible while fishing for several hours at a time. So many choices!

Re: Kayaks
I will be fishing from it so with all the sharp points involved prolly not a good idea to use an inflatable. I looked at the Impulse 10.0 and like the lightness (44lbs) might just go with a couple of those. I don't have the room on the back as my davits have solar panels mounted there so will need t...

Kayaks
Was thinking of adding a kayak onboard the Ocean Dreamer and wondered what length size and where others carried them. Obviously there aren't lots of areas to store them so that got me thinking about inflatable kayaks. I've read that they don't have the speed that the hard shell ones do but I like th...

Re: anchor roller replacement?
Yes the 3" roller was too wide so I trimmed a little off of each end with a bandsaw, worked real nicely.

Re: anchor roller replacement?
John, Replaced my roller this past Spring and like you figured I could pick one up at WM. The 2 3/8" roller must be an odd size as I checked several marine supply stores and couldn't find the replacement. I ended up back at WM and bought the 3" and shaved an even amount off of each side un...

Re: pdq36.com
Love the new layout and how the water meets the sky, could you have a little PDQ catamaran start sailing across the waterline as the page opens....kidding. Music not a big deal, not on the cover page that long anyway. I did notice if you click the off button the music comes right back on after a sho...

Re: Dissimilar Metals
Thought I would show how the current was able to get to the front of the boat. The 1" spacer attached to the aft railing down to the toe rail forward to the pulpit and then down to the cross member.
