Cockpit drainage

Post by amytom »

Our 32 has nice large drains at the aft corners of the cockpit floor. Unfortunately the rainwater tends to pool at the front corners and leaves a nice green growth. Does anyone else see this and has anyone done anything to correct it? I'm considering adding two more drains at the front corners.

Please measure your trim for and aft (distance from top of rub rail to water). I wonder if the boat is heavy forward. Mine drains quickly.

The solution, other than changing trim, would seem to be adding 2 new drains. Since you use a grate over the sole, flush through hulls would do.
