PDQ32 rig tension

PDQ32 rig tension

I see many questions but no answers as to proper tension. After my boat was set
up at the factory I measured the tension using a Loos PT-3 gauge. The diamond
shrouds read 20 and the cap stays read 41.

I should have mentioned that my boat, hull 48, has the taller fractionally
rigged Selden mast and these numbers may not apply to the older masthead
rigs.According to the chart supplied by Loos these numbers represent the
following tensions

Diamond shroud--9/32" dia.--1300# tension

Pelican striker--5/16"dia.--2000#tension

Cap shroud--3/8"dia. 2100# tension.

This is a 15 year old thread from the old message board, but I don't think this stuff changes.

The original author posts the LBS of tension he saw on a PDQ 32 with a fractional rig. Not sure the apply or make sense for my non-fractional rig. Does anybody have the numbers from PDQ on what it should be for the older rig, not fractional?

Alternatively, or in addition, do any owners of the older non fractional rigs have any guidance as to the target tension numbers? Especially the 5/16" cap shrouds.

Thanks.

Here is the Loos gauge I am using.
