Any successful installations? I recently saw a factory installation on the rear
port side just forward of the steps, but it looked vulnerable and required a
large deck plug to connect to the gas bottles. I thought a BBQ mounted on the
stern rail above the bench(connected to the gas through the opening for the
rudder bar) would work but Rory noted that this was right over the dinghy in the
davits, which would result in a messy dinghy.

We have a small Force 10 grill installed on the port side / aft top rail - just
inside the corner. As you suggested, we feed a hose from the spare propane
bottle, through the emergency rudder opening to the grill. (Note: If anyone
hasn't already tried to removed those emergency rudder plugs, don't wait until
you need them! Ours were a real bugger the first time.) Most time, we leave the
rail mount but remove the grill while sailing. Probably not necessary if you are
using it frequently and it is secure.
