Hi all,

We are looking at re-purposing our third stateroom (aft port) and I was wondering if anyone knew how the built in fiberglass "L" shaped bed/storage insert comes out. It has screws on the leading edges, but it looks like maybe it's glued or glassed on the hull contact areas. Any comments, ideas or first hand knowledge is appreciated.

Hi Tom,

I use to install these 20 plus years ago and if memory serves we would screw a cleat to the outboard hull and then set the unit on it with structural putty. I don't remember tabbing them in with fiberglass. A look with flashlight and mirror from below may help.
