Fuel Tank Specs and Measurements
Fuel Tank Specs and Measurements
I sprung leak in my fuel tank last season and I want to have a new one made but I haven't been able to find the measurements. I'm fifteen hundred miles away from the boat right now, otherwise i would measure it myself. It's the L shaped fifty gallon tank. Does anyone know where I could find a drawing with measurements?

Re: Fuel Tank Specs and Measurements
We replaced our fuel tank 15 months ago. The head of a stainless steel screw had lodged itself under the tank. The resulting electrolytic reaction holed the fuel tank.
I was unable to locate/obtain drawings/specifications. I attempted to make a set of drawings, but the complexities of the drafting software defeated me.
I had some difficulty finding a fuel tank fabricator in eastern North Carolina that would take on the job.
When I finally found someone who would build the tank (a cracker jack company, too), they insisted on having the old tank in their shop so that they could match it. The lack of engineering drawings was irrelevant. Just match the old tank.
Got a tank back that was a perfect match. $1070.00 including sales tax.
