32 vs 34 ?
32 vs 34 ?
Looking at 32ft pdq. Read all the articles. Did they keep the 32 & rename it 34 or did they retool and make a new 34. Just what is the diff between the 34 & 32 ??? JC3
hi,
we have a 34 and just went on a 32 this summer. main difference appears to be approx 1' extension in bow and approx 1' in stern. also things like transmission might be different, flybridge is different, but so are many early 34's.
don't know if pdq monitors this, but i'm sure they could tell you exactly.

32 vs 34
I am interested in boat speed, hull shapes, appropriate propellers, etc. and I asked Ted Clement, of PDQ about the difference between the two hulls.
The 34ft hull is a new hull, slightly wider with more load carrying capacity than the original 32ft hull. It was my understanding that the 32 had the hull of the 32ft sail boat, consequently, it is a little more efficient going through the water .....a little faster for the same power input.
