Several Questions for Owners with 110 HP Engines

Postby Tanah-Keeta on Wed Jun 23, 2010 11:38 am

I am primarily interested in 110 hp but welcome any comments..

What Primary Fuel Filters do you use... spin-on or turbine series. If turbine, is it the 75500MAX30? Are you satisfied with them?

What engine water temps do you run on port/stbd at wide open throttle,,,, and at cruising speed (2600 rpm for me)?

What is your max observed RPM at Wide Open Throttle? Can you reach the max 3200 RPM?

Thanks...

Ron

When I had the boat out of the water 2 weeks ago, I had the yard acid wash my props and rudders. With a clean bottom and props, I easily turn 3200 RPM's wide open. Last weekend returning from a trip up the Bay, at almost slack water, we saw almost 22 knots SOG. We increased our RPMs by 400.

My Port engine runs a little hotter that the starboard one. I will look and see what the temps are next time we are out.

Hope this is of some help. We have the 110 Yanmars
