Stiff Steering

Tampa Girl developed an odd steering issue on the way back from the Bahamas. At stop or anything below about 7 knots, the steering is normal. The wheel turns freely lock to lock. However, above 7 knots, and especially above 12 knots, the steering is extremely stiff. There is no play in the rudder posts and there is nothing fouled on the rudders.
Any thoughts?

Have you aligned the rudders? If they are out of alignment, steering gets very stiff above idle speeds.

Just closing the loop- the rudders were about 15 degrees out of alignment. Problem solved. Thanks!
