Nova Kool problems

Post by Tanah-Keeta »

My Nova Kool Fridge is acting up and looking to see if anyone else has had this problem.

When installed in the wall, it freezes ice well but the fridge is at 45-50 degrees.

When pulled out of the wall, it freezes ice well and the fridge is a 34 degrees.

I have done the following:

….Replaced the refridgerant
…..replaced the compressor
….replaced the control module
…replaced the original fan
..added an additional fan

There are no air flow restrictions in the compartment below the fridge.

Any suggestions?

If it makes ice in either situation the refrigeration system works fine. When you attach the mounting flange is something flexing or bending out of shape so that air leaks in around the door?

It seems that the problem was refridgerant level.....initially not enough, then too much....I am now reducing it a little at a time and the fridge is acting normally. When we replaced the compressor, we added a schrader valve so I can reduce or add refridgerant as needed. What a ride this has been.. Don't know if the compressor and other stuff was needed or not.....but it is a boat.....

Thanks for the reply.
