Cabin sole refinishing

Post by jgonnerman »

I have my dog on my cat(boat that is). Although I have throw rugs down doggie has scratched the floor so its time to refinish.
On a much earlier boat than my PDQ I learned about how thin veneers were on boats.
Has anyone varnished their floorboards and what prep process was followed? Also finish material used?

Thanks for any ideas.

hi john,

we refinished all removable ones about 7 years ago. light sand and 2 coats polyureathane. worked well, but it's getting to be time again. will do this fall including rear salon. i'm going to try spray cans. we've used for touchup and has worked well.
