Trim tabs

Post by teamwork »

Has anyone put trim tabs on 34' powercat? I have seen on another cat, and the owner was very pleased with them. Roger on Teamwork

Don't know (PDQ sail).

Have you tried changing the weight distribution (moving heavy items forward)? This might provide insight. If the bows come down and the speed goes up you might have something.... though changing the weight distribution is in many ways a better answer (trim tabs do typically add some drag, though the over all result should be a reduction).

thanks Thinwater, I have had a lot of weight on the bow. I go to Bahamas each winter with beer, cokes, and lots of other things that concentrate weight on bow, plus fuel and water. the bow still comes up.
